This University International Scholarship project builds on Professor Balasubramanian’s work on the chemical biology of the genome to dissect the function of G-quadruplex motifs in DNA and RNA. The position will be based at the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Research Institute which is a centre of excellence for genomics and houses a state-of-the-art genomics core facility.
University International Scholarship Applicants must hold a PhD in a relevant field, and would ideally have a strong track record in the analysis of genomic data, in particular ChIP-seq and RNA-seq. We also welcome applications from experienced computational biologists or bioinformaticians in related areas, who could make a major contribution to our research goals. While this is primarily a computational position, the post holder will contribute to the design and execution of laboratory experiments in collaboration with other members of the group.
Scholarship Application Deadline: 9 May 2011
